Ca’ dei Frati Winery
Cellar – Sirmione, Lake Garda
The Ca’ dei Frati winery is one of the main wine reference points in the Lake Garda area, producing excellent quality wines since 1939. Founded by the Dal Cero family, the winery reflects their passion and expertise in viticulture, combined with a deep love for their territory.
Located in the Lugana area of Sirmione, Ca’ dei Frati sits on land once known as the “place of the fratti,” historically belonging to the bishop’s curia. Today, this region is characterized by countless rows of vines owned by the winery. Since producing their first Lugana, Ca’ dei Frati has created truly unique bottles, ranging from a fine, elegant white wine to a sparkling version that delights the palate.
The wines of Ca’ dei Frati are exceptional examples of Lombard wines, born from a meticulous study of the land and the vines. For four generations, the Dal Cero family has handed down the secrets of winemaking, ensuring the protection of the raw material as the cornerstone of their production process. This dedication has been refined year after year through innovative techniques that balance modernity with tradition.
Visitors to Ca’ dei Frati can enjoy a free tour of the cellar and a tasting session, though reservations are mandatory. The guided tour lasts around 30 minutes and includes a tasting of four selected wines, allowing guests to appreciate the winery’s craftsmanship. It’s important to note that no food is provided during the tasting, as the focus is solely on the wines, with no aperitifs of any kind allowed.
This unique approach to wine tasting is designed to help visitors fully understand and appreciate the product, providing an insightful experience into the world of Ca’ dei Frati wines.
