Situated next to the renowned Gardaland Theme Park on the eastern shore of Lake Garda, the Gardaland Sea Life Aquarium offers a captivating underwater journey that complements the thrills of the amusement park. Opened in 2008, this interactive aquarium is a must-visit destination for families, marine enthusiasts, and anyone eager to explore the wonders of the ocean.
Gardaland Sea Life Aquarium features over 5,000 marine creatures, representing more than 100 different species from around the world. The aquarium is designed to take visitors on a journey through various aquatic environments, from the freshwaters of Lake Garda to the vibrant coral reefs of the tropical seas.
The aquarium is divided into themed zones, each meticulously designed to replicate the natural habitats of its inhabitants. Key exhibits include: Shark Tunnel: Walk through a transparent tunnel surrounded by sharks and rays, providing a 360-degree view of these majestic creatures as they glide above and around you. Tropical Lagoon: Marvel at the colorful array of tropical fish, including clownfish, tangs, and angelfish, darting among the corals and anemones. Ray Bay: Observe the graceful movements of rays as they swim in their specially designed habitat. Information panels educate visitors about the different species and their behaviors. Interactive Rockpool: Get hands-on experience by touching starfish, sea urchins, and other small marine creatures in this interactive exhibit designed for younger visitors. Seahorse Kingdom: Discover the delicate and fascinating world of seahorses, with informative displays about their unique biology and the challenges they face in the wild.
Gardaland Sea Life Aquarium is committed to marine education and conservation. By Car: If you are driving on the A4 motorway, the exit is Peschiera del Garda. If you are on the A22 motorway, you will need to exit at Affi. The cost of parking is 7.00 € per day for cars and campervans. This parking opens 30 minutes before the park opens.
By Train: If you arrive by train at Peschiera del Garda station, you will find a Free Shuttle that takes you to the Gardaland Park. The first shuttle is 30 minutes before the park opens, and the last one is 30 minutes after closing. The route takes about 5 minutes.
By Bus: If you are in Peschiera del Garda, you can take the ATV bus line N.483 towards Malcesine (in summer). If you are staying between Garda, Bardolino, and Lazise, you will find the ATV bus line N.483 towards San Benedetto (in summer). Throughout the year, in both directions, you will also find the ATV bus line N.164.
